Israel's Dahiya Doctrine
Israel has a doctrine it developed after it's war in Lebanon. The Dahiya Doctrine.
It says that this doctrine is to fight 'Assymetric" wars where it is hard to identify their enemy. Yet they want to deter their enemies from existing or acting.
The core of the Dahiya Doctrine is to To Destroy Civilian Infrastructue and/or KILL Civilians to creat a Deterrence! To deter their enemies from actign by Intimidating and Killing the Civilians the Ememy acts for.
A Policy which is Illegal under International Law - 4th Geneva Convention - Articel 33 "No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited". And "Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited".
So, the Dahiya Doctrine is to:
Alignment of the Policy and Actions of Israel with the definition of Terrorism:
Israel Kills (use of violence) Palestinian Civilians (civilians) to deter the Palestinians from taking their legally allowed actions such as Protesting (political aim) .
So when we look at Israels actions in arresting Palestinian Children (intimidation), Destroying Palestinians houses (Intimidation), refusing Palestinians access to water and resources (Intimidation) or Killing protesters (Violence) it is Deliberately and Knowingly aligning its Military Policies and Actions (Dahiya Doctrine) along Terrorist lines.
These actions are being played out along the Gaza Border in April/May 2018. Over 12,500 unarmed Palestinian Civilians Injured, 5,500 Shot with more than 110 Killed! Not One Isreli Soldier has been hurt.
The Conclusion has to be:
- "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims"
